Security protocol for wireless (WiFi) networks. Created in response to several serious weaknesses in the WEP protocol.

Protocol to prevent accidental eavesdropping and intended to provide comparable confidentiality to traditional wired network. Does not provide adequate security against intentional eavesdropping (for example, cryptanalysis).
