New Patent issued to PE Systems Corp by the U.S. Patent Office
Spokane, WA, October 15, 2009 –– PE Systems Corp, continuing to build its intellectual property and leadership role in the field of merchant credit card savings, today announced that the Company recently received an issue notice from the U.S. Patent Office. PE Systems’ patent application entitled “Altering Card-Issuer Interchange Categories”, has now been issued as U.S. Patent 7603312. The patent relates to the company’s technology for identifying and monitoring potential areas of cost savings for merchants and specifically deals with card association interchange fees.
Thomas Parrish, CEO of PE Systems Corp, said “This patent represents what is at the heart of what we do: helping get our clients to the lowest cost possible for credit card processing.”
“PE Systems focuses on saving merchants money and our technology is the underlying tool that forms the basis of that value to our clients”, says Jim Richards, Chief Technology Officer for the company. “This patent recognizes the novel way that we support our clients by continually monitoring their fees to understand potential areas of savings and in evaluating changes to insure that they are indeed paying the lowest cost possible.”
Bob Skattum, Vice President responsible for Operations, emphasized, “Due to the constantly changing rules and regulations, the payment card processing industry is both convoluted and confusing. The fee structure that determines what each merchant should pay is fluid and because of this, we continue to refine our patented and proprietary systems. We are the only company that has technology coupled with an in-depth knowledge of this industry, which includes not only where you should be with each card payment transaction, but also how to get you there.” He follows on to say that “Our background and industry knowledge has uncovered overpayments for our clients 96% of the time, regardless of size or merchant type. In addition we do all of this without affecting existing banking/processing relationships. Our goal is not to change who you are processing with, our goal is simply to insure you pay the lowest total cost possible to accept credit and debit cards as a form of payment.”
